Episode 2 – Feminine Leadership: Redefining Abundance | Dr. Nanilea Diamond

I’ve been deepening with this over decades of working with people. And looking at the patterns and the energy patterns existing underneath and what I’ve found is that, and when we talk about abundance, something that’s important for me to clarify is that we’ve been trained more and more, and as a society to think money when we hear the word abundance. And I see that being a way to condition us and have us associate money as the relational to like the city of life, like the true abundance, the two life-giving wellsprings of where we draw our energy for creation from and what may gives us power and gives us access and gives us avenues of creativity being absolutely just instantly directionally related to money.

So I like to back up from that energy and just really plant the word abundance. In the reality and the truth I see it as a paradigm that there’s nothing bad or wrong with money. Money’s absolutely a part of abundance. Absolutely critical a part of it and to just watch that conditioning, that brings us into a consumer society, a mechanistic society, and a society based on materialism, that disconnects from the true roots being in the abundance of the earth and the rhythms.

And that’s where I feel like feminine energy really begins our connection to the earth to mama. So mama Gaia, how we treat the earth is how is everything in relation to it shows us our relationship to the feminine. Wow. You know, do we rape her? Do we, you know, care about her? Do we protect her? Do we have guidelines and regulations that take care of her? What are our standards? All of that. So as far as abundance, I feel like, at the root level, it’s going back to a paradigm shift. Are we rooted in creating everything and I teach everything I do? There’s one fundamental core energy I come back to, which is the energy we create from guides and determines our creations.
So with that, holding that as the center flame. Back up the abundance into really saying that we are rooting in a paradigm of abundance that first honors, the energy of creation itself to not instantaneously be put into the energy matrix of money and mechanistic consumer society version, and then from that, cause that’s where I see true, the feminine and women truly, truly be rooted in what will make them access the extraordinary financial abundance is when they are unplugged from that consumerism kind of society. That is, by the way, crumbling right now. They are truly rooted and created from this other place. They can, they will have innovation, like never before they will have created. And they will also have deep-seated permission to go beyond the limit that society creates.

Transplant Your Roots Back Into The Source of Creation

If you follow all those behavioral things that are, women are experiencing, the overwork, the stress, the pushing, the masculine, all of that, the fundamental energy you come back to is the roots. Have needed to be transplanted. I say, let’s transplant your roots back into the source of creation. And from there, you, you have the truth and the reality remembered through your being that life is, is abundant. It’s not like you have to try to be it. It just is. And you become an extension of that. And then you can get wildly creative with how you wanna do that. Do you wanna do that in financial wealth? Beautiful. I think bringing in financial wealth is a way for women to have, it’s like an access point into their system to see.

It relates to their power. It relates to how they are with masculine energy. And so a woman, starting to grow financially, she’s gonna meet all these other parts of herself. And I call it like an underground root system, energetically in her, in her being that will start to uproot and have the opportunity for change in reorganization.

One of The Biggest Challenges With Women In The Area of Abundance

I think that for women, in particular, I mean if we look at just where we are in, in our society, in our timeline. 1960 was when a woman was allowed to open her own bank account without needing a signature from a man. 1974 was when she was allowed to have her own credit card. And then she’s allowed to have her own house. So it’s new in our system. And previous to that, we were owned. We were owned by a man. I mean, we’re talking only a few decades, so it’s very recent. And these things have been subconsciously put into the programming of our being, in our body. And we will meet those limits. They’re not even beliefs because they’re below beliefs. They move into the realm of just pure, raw energy patterns of subconscious archetypal programming that goes on.

I say men also, but for a woman like her sexuality is, you know, it’s just prostitution everywhere. It’s made for marketing, it’s one of the hottest marketing things, a woman’s sexuality. We see advertisements that have a woman, you know, showing her sexuality and it’s for absolutely nothing to do with that. And so that actually has what I’ve seen in the women I work at with is. There’s kind of this like push-pull going on in their system with creating period and especially financial wealth and abundance because they don’t wanna be commoditized. They don’t want to bring it into a realm of, of sales and money.

They wanna make their own creative energy precious again. And once it turns, goes into the marketplace, Now we hit this energy of like, wow, I’ve we hit the collective energy of the feminine being commoditized, prostituted, all those things. And so it takes an incredible amount of clearing that from our system and coming into sovereignty with our own sexual, creative energy, and choosing to do it and building around boundaries and standards and ways of it expressing that hold it sacredly. So there’s a lot in that.

How Can A Woman Use Her Sexual Energy In A Healthy Way To Harness Her Creativity?

I work a lot in peak performance and working with high-level athletes or, or entrepreneurs or think tanks and that sort of thing. Even like there are seen as flow state is something, well, we’re gonna use flow state to go and produce more and that there’s this whole thing of just using to get more outcomes, to get more output. So it’s this undoing. And what I see in the I do with women is really them coming into their sexuality, their creativity as their own. Like my sexuality only exists with a man. Now it exists on your own. Your creativity exists on your own and to undo all of that programming and her system to have it called out, to have it confronted, and to begin to grow for a woman’s eyes that can see it. Cause if you can’t see it, if you’re blind to it, you’re gonna put on that energy and wear it out and not even know it, you know? And it’s like, well, you got that dress on. You didn’t even know it. You know, if you have eyes to see it, then you come into a place of having a greater choice and moving back into the energy of just sovereignty with your own energy and saying, it’s my joy to create powerfully. It’s my joy to shake things up and build this thing and do this thing.

Become More Intimate With Yourself

Know thy self for, for women, it’s knowing what is feminine energy. What is your heart? What are your desires? And to unplug from the matrix? A lot of it’s unplugging and undoing when I have retreats and we have women come in, a lot of it is like, all right, we’re gonna have to like pull the weeds off to even get to what is the flower underneath, you know? And it’s another way of remembering 1960.

Remember we had got societal permission to have our own bank account without a man’s signature. Like there’s still that programming. It’s the same thing for sexuality. It wasn’t till I don’t have the exact date, but recently where inter-marital rape was considered illegal, like, or inside the marriage, you know, a woman’s sexuality was owned by a man. She didn’t have a choice. And so there’s still that undoing of sexuality. I think currently in the modern woman where she’s waiting for a man to bring it out in. Well, I need a man so that I can feel this way. No, you have YOU.

Yes. It’s wildly enhanced by being with a man. Don’t get me wrong. Do you know what I mean? I love that. And those that sexual raw freedom exists in you, and then you share it with a man you don’t show up with a need, you show up with an overflowing and this is abundance. You show up with an abundance of that energy running through your system, and it’s like, let’s share this. Let’s be in this. Let’s see where we go together in this.

Find The Symbols That Speaks To You And Use That To Enhance Your Own Power For Yourself

A lot of how we translate life is through metaphor and symbology. There’s more association with the right side of the brain of moving things into a different way of translation. And beyond that, is the work that I do and why I feel like I’m here on the planet to help women unlock forgotten codes and live them to open into realms of their being that have been latent, that have been unlived. And literally, the codes in their DNA have not been transcribed. Like they have not been living frequencies and part of that is if we look at epigenetics we code for what our environment signals.

We also have in our genetics, the ability to put things called chemical caps onto our genetic coding. That basically says it’s a cap. It says, don’t code for this. Don’t be this vibration. Don’t be this expression don’t do, or do it in a very limited range. Why? Our predecessors and generations before got killed for it or got banished for it, or it was dangerous for them or it made life hard for them. Or there was massive trauma somewhere in the family line, for this reason, you know? And so it puts a chemical cap evolutionarily. It’s an evolutionary survival tactic of our nervous system to say, don’t do this. It was dangerous.

And so, especially for women and this even goes back to what I believe, the witch hunt. And that women have deep access to magic and to the priestess. That’s why I’m, I’m in the study of, of, of priestess sort of, you know, really accessing the magic that a woman has to see and translate life in ways that are incredible. There is feminine and masculine energy. And then there’s a male and female operating system, our body, and our nervous system. The masculine operating system has evolutionarily over generations and generations been designed around more masculine energy. The feminine has been designed evolutionarily as an operating system around the feminine. Which means there’s interconnection. We’ve been evolutionarily designed. We’ve over time adapted and sharpened our skills of being the ones who care for the tribe, you know? And so our senses, our old factory system, and our bodies are much more heightened than a man’s because we can smell. Range in the immune system vibrationally to know when a child is sick before they’re sick. You know, we have all of these abilities in our nervous system to recognize energy patterns.

Photographically in the tribe to see interconnections and to translate metaphorically and symbolically and to know things about how to lead life and move life forward. I believe there are caps on many parts of those because for a woman to come into her full power has been seen as dangerous, for many reasons.

Is The Term Witch Just Labeled To Shame A Woman For Being Powerful?

I think the witch is one word to describe it. I see it as entire libraries, like a whole library of codes, which is more the identity or the name that someone would call themselves. My specialization is going the energy patterns and the codes and the, everything that’s existing in. And before the expression, like the witch, is kind of the end result in what society might call her or what she might call herself. But it’s the library of codes that she’s accessing. And she’s drawing from like the energy we create from guys and determines our creation.

So you can call yourself a witch, but how what’s the expansion? What is your access? You know, and what library of codes and what I’ve seen to be true is that there are many different lineages of mystical arts, mystical medicines, and mystical cultures that have been broken and fragmented. And much of it, those witch rays, in which burnings, it was not safe to do anything connected to the earth.

And we’re going there again, we’re in that now where there’s one we’ve switched from. the A religious thing to more medical, but it’s like we’re in a thing where it’s like, wow, are we on the earth? I truly believe we’re at this, this global initiation because all of us are here on the planet to fully live these codes again.

Why Society Is Not Designed To Allow Women To Be In Their Full Power?

The energy it came from was very patriotic energy that saw women in a very subservient way. Like I said, even 1970 allowed you to get your own bank account like it was designed that women were owned by a man. It was just designed from old energy that was steeped in a religious view. Most of it said the man was the only voice in the house. The only power in the house. Men’s full glory comes through being in a sacred woman union. It doesn’t work for men either to have that kind of societal construct. They’re not loving it either. A lot of that for men still is UN unbundling, to recognize that there isn’t true fulfillment in control and domination. And it actually stems from scarcity and they end up feeling unfulfilled and alone in that.

A Woman’s Guide To Owning Her Power

Women back away from relationships and say, I’m gonna work on myself until I’m totally ready. And then I’m gonna go into a relationship. And it’s like, well, the way I see relationships really is that it is one of the biggest playgrounds for spiritual growth. As for myself, I didn’t like holding back from a relationship until I was utterly whole in myself and then say, I’m ready. I found wholeness through entering into a love and a commitment to love and into intimacy cuz the rawness of being in a real intimate relationship is it will rip your ego apart. It’ll show you and that’s what I feel is part of its design.

I think we have to undo the construct of what we think, relationships and partnerships, and all those things are supposed to be happily ever after where there’s never anything that happens. Like my husband and I are two of the fiercest mirrors to each other. We do our spiritual work of that together because we commit to going the distance together, so I think there is some of that of like coming into your full glory as a woman and it’s how we view relationships and what we view their purpose to be. And going there to open, going there to grow, going there to love, going there to be imperfect, going there to be humble. All of those things and going there to just be a mess human sometimes, and to seek to love in our messiness. You need to love yourself first, you need to be completely whole.

The Feminine Blueprint

It’s a powerful vortex that is unfolding in the world, into a bunch of teachings and training. It’s an approach a method. It’s a map really for a woman to come into her full glory, to come into her full power. And it’s designed really to be, although it can be used in many different ways to be a year cycle, year-long women and feminine. We work in cycles. Our intelligence is in cycles and rhythms. And within like one moon cycle within one year cycle, there are many different frequency activations organically within one cycle for a woman. The new moon’s energy is different than the quarter of the new moon. That’s different than the full moon. There are different energy frequencies and activations that happen naturally. And as we cycle as women, Our hormones are different at every point. Like we are. There’s so much that is encoded in each part of that cycle. I’ve been given, like this came through me, really not from me is that it was shown how to bring a woman through one full cycle in one year of all of those frequency code activations.

Full receptivity and yin energy really are in its ancient future power. And then coming into, as that, moon waxes and comes into the quarter moon, it’s about the embodiment. and then coming into expression and embodiment is where we face. The fire embodiment is about sovereignty in the queen and the energetic castle of your standards, boundaries, upper limits, constructing yourself as a woman, as you come into form full moon.

There are teachings that are layered in it to bring a woman into her fullness. And then in the fall season, it’s attraction. And that’s moving more into yin energy as we go back into the dormancy of winter. So the yin energy building and the principles and practices and embodiments of magnetism of yin building in the system to where we’re actually saying, come to me like one of the most beautiful ways they love to look at feminine energy and attraction is to look at the egg in the sperm.

The sperm hunts. The egg comes down, that fallopian tube, she’s with her sisters hanging out up there and it’s like, oh, it’s your turn girl one at a time they come down like that catwalk, and their radiance. And what they’re saying, energetically is like, come to me, come to me. It’s a magnetic pole at the center of life. There’s this magnetic pole of the feminine. That is her superpower. That is her radiance. And that actually gives the sperm, the signal of where to come of the precision biochemically.

Initiations

A lot of these words can get thrown around in pop culture and the meaning of it can be different.I draw that word from priestess tradition.

In the priestess lineage in coming forward as priestess teachings, an initiation is something that like, life is the initiation. We don’t create our own initiations. Consciously initiations are, when we are saying, I’m gonna come to live this, I’m grabbing this torch of this new intention, new dream, new knowledge that I must live this. And we all have those where you’re like, oh, this is what life’s asking me to live. What are we gonna do with that? And it’s like, how I’m gonna take that torch is how I use it in the feminine blueprint. That’s the symbol, right? I use it because when you can relate to it, it becomes a mythic story rather than a conceptual analytical thing.

It’s a mythic story we go on in this feminine blueprint. So it’s, I grab the torch and I say, okay, I’m gonna live this. Like I got this, I got the memo, the spirit told me, soul told me, I got the memo. I’m going to tell the sisters in the tribe here that I got it and what it is. And we’re all gonna witness in you.

And now you begin stepping forward in life, holding that torch of that, which you are here to live and birth and you begin walking that walk in the world and what life will bring you. An initiation is an opportunity. If we choose to see it that way, sometimes it will kick your butt. Most of the time it will shred. Here you go and make you really choose and decide who you are. And can you stand in it with your torch, a blaze? Or do you shrink back? Do you sell out? Do you prostitute? Do you quiet your voice? Do you try to turn it into something that it wasn’t really, but it’s safer, you know, all the things will do. And that’s why I hold as a mentor with women, fierce accountability. Like you, I say I will not stand with you in a lie.

I know that you are given the torch you are given because you are here to live it. And that means you are given everything. You need everything. You need all everything. An apple seed needs to become an apple tree is in that pattern. It’s in that code, all it needs is water and soil and an environment. That’s what this sisterhood that becomes, so that you can grow that and then just like, come, come, grow, grow. So those initiations or what, or life will initiate us into it.

I took a little hiatus from hosting my podcast over this summer and did a lot of reflecting, a lot of refining and reshaping my messaging, my mission, my brand. Now I’m super clear on who I’m here to serve and I am super excited to be coming out again to guide my listeners who have the desire to have monthly recurring income in their businesses. The people that I love working with are the fellow photography educators, the coaches, the spiritual teachers, those who have wisdom that they know is meant to be shared with the world. And, they haven’t quite figured out how to do it in a way that works best for their followers, their students, and themselves. Having the lifestyle that they wanna have, the balance they wanna have, the income they wanna have. And I wanna share a little bit about something that’s worked really well for me, to create that monthly recurring income in my business.

From Photography to Unleashing Other Potentials

So who am I and why? Listen to me. I’m Julie Goetzinger. As you know, I started out as a portrait photography business owner, specializing in boudoir photography. And what that is, is empowerment. Photo sessions for women. I also did some high school, senior shoots, and family shoots. I love photography, but when COVID came in 2020, I couldn’t do the in-person work. So I decided rather than applying for a loan or unemployment, that I was going to take an inventory of my skillset and see what else I could do to bring in that income that I wanted to provide for my family.

I started doing intuitive readings, and I did them online. And, they quickly got booked. I am a psychic medium as well, and they got booked so quickly and I realized that it was way too much to be doing that one-on-one work for a low price point. It was not sustainable. I was exhausted. I did confirm for me that I am, actually a psychic medium. So that was good. And I got a lot of great testimonials and people saying how the messages were changing their lives. And I had to leverage my time in a different way to also increase my income. What I did was I ended up hiring my coach, Michelle Villalobos, who taught me this retreat business model so that I could leverage my time.

I ended up implementing her system that she taught me and I made over a hundred thousand dollars using this retreat model that I’m gonna share with you. And I made it in the first seven months of implementing this model. The year before I had brought in $40,000 and which is wonderful, which is great. And that was not enough to sustain me. And I did become a single mom. After I separated from my partner, I knew that I was going to have to bring in more income to provide for my children and myself. This all happened at the right time, as it always does in the universe. So I ended up bringing in that a hundred thousand dollars in the first seven months of doing this model.

I also became an international bestselling author. That’s me with my book, “Free to fly, manifest the life of your dreams,” where I actually share my full story of how I went from making $40,000 to making $225,000 two years after that. It took me two years to get to that. I’ve also hosted seven retreats. I’ve hosted virtual retreats; I’ve hosted international retreats and domestic retreats. I call them my abundance breakthrough retreat, which you’re gonna hear a little bit more about, little couple minutes. I’m also the host of this podcast, obviously, and I hosted a summit called “Unleash your abundance.”

So as I shared before I started out, actually, I was a public school teacher before becoming a photographer. I was a fifth grade public school teacher and I felt my leadership skills dying to come out. I had the desire to teach teachers. I remember hearing that intuitively that I meant to teach teachers.

And I had a lot of resistance around being led, especially by women. I had a very strong leader at the time that I clashed with. And I now know it was because I had not allowed myself to step into leadership yet. So I blamed her for what I would’ve done differently as a leader, and I can laugh about it now, but yeah, I gave her a run for her money.

I definitely questioned her multiple times. Questioned authority, questioned her leadership, to her face, and learned a lot from that experience. First of all, how to respect leaders and how it’s a really fucking hard job to do. And also that I am meant to lead myself. And that’s where that frustration and blame came in. Because I hadn’t allowed myself to step into leadership yet.

Those are my beautiful children there in the photo. I have two wonderful children and I believe that it’s really important to model leadership for them. And to model following your heart, following your intuition, doing what feels good to you, not chasing after money, but knowing that you get to decide what you do and you can be really profitable, wealthy by doing what is in alignment with you, and what that means—what feels right? What feels good? What feels fun? It’s not always easy, but feels like a yes. And when you follow that, that’s where your abundance lies. That’s where your freedom lies. Your fullest expression, the money, the love—all of it lies in that place of saying yes to what feels right to you.

The Problem: Trading Time for Money

And my problem that I grew to work through was that I was trading my time for money. I was doing one-on-one photo shoots. I was doing one-on-one intuitive readings, one-on-one coaching, which all of them created a lot of joy and pleasure for me, but it wasn’t sustainable because I felt like I was always chasing my next one.

I would do one photo shoot and then looking for my next one; I would do an intuitive reading and then have to do another one right afterwards, cause I wasn’t charging enough. I would coach one person at a time and there is wonderful money in one-on one-coaching. I still do it today and I still love it, but I have to limit how many people I can take. Cuz it’s a big form of energy exchange when you’re meeting one-on-one with a person to coach. My solution became the group model. Coaching a group at the same time on a common goal and having common backgrounds, common interests, and a common destination was the solution to my problem.

And this is an example of one of my abundance breakthrough retreats, and we call it a retreat because we retreat from our lives to do this program together. And it is absolutely doable. It’s doable virtually or in person. I will say that I prefer in person now that we can be in person again with COVID settling down. It’s been equally powerful and successful doing it virtually.

And if you have clients in different areas like I do in different countries, coming together virtually makes sense. There’s also zero overhead costs and it’s amazing the deep bonds and connections that happen online, as we’ve seen during COVID, that you can develop really beautiful bonds and connections with people sometimes never even having met them in person.

And that’s exactly what happened for my clients. They started to form these friendships and these alliances together even though many of them had never even met each other in person. So you can do this virtually or in person. I choose to do a hybrid of both so that I can mix it up with where my clients can come from.

So it’s more open to more people and more places. And I also do them in person. This is an example of one of my in person, abundance, breakthrough retreats. It was in San Diego. And at this retreat I had five people join in who were brand new to working with me. Four out of the five went on to join my yearlong program after that. And I’ll share a little bit more about that a little.

So what the retreat is is a three-day immersive experience to achieve a specific outcome. And then, you invite them to a year-long mastermind program. And what I’ve learned from my coach, Michelle Villalobos, is that people want the biggest transformation in the shortest amount of time. If you can provide a really amazing outcome for them, such as having their own program completed, developed, ready to launch by the end of those three days together, that’s a really juicy outcome, as we call it, because that’s something people take a long time to create on their own.

And they’re always second-guessing themselves. How much do I charge for? Is someone really gonna buy this? And that’s something we do, too. During the three-day experience, we work through the mindset blocks because we can get excited about an idea and be like, “Oh my gosh, that sounds so much fun. I’d love to host a retreat, but where do I start with the marketing? Who’s gonna come? Who’s gonna pay that much for the retreat?” And my retreat is 2, 997. That’s the cost of my retreat. So you might have blocks around that. Who’s gonna pay that for three days? Well, a lot of people will. I’ve paid for it myself multiple times. So, I don’t have that mindset block, but a lot of people think, “Oh, that’s a lot of money for three days. And how do I know it’s gonna work for me?” That’s part of the work too—working through their own mindset blocks and their own limiting stories about what’s possible for them and their ability to achieve the desired.

And it’s also about coming together with a group that has a common goal of also doing this. This group also wants to start hosting retreats. They also want to add coaching to their business. They also wanna step more into leadership, so they have that common goal. And then we invite them to the year-long mastermind program to start rolling out that program.

Three-Day Retreat to a Year-Long Mastermind Program

During the retreat, we build the program. And then during the year-long program, that’s when they get the accountability support, the mindset, support the friendship, the bonding of the community, the stepping further into leadership and working through other personal problems that come up along the way throughout the year. Cuz we all have things that come up personally and they get that support in the year-long program. And like I shared before, the results from hosting not my very first retreat but my first in-person retreat was that four out of the five people who attended my first retreat joined my yearlong master program, which is called “Free to Fly.” This allowed me to leverage my time and to stabilize my income because people had two options.

And at the time the cost of the year-long program was $16,000 and has since gone up, but the cost was 16,000. So they could choose to pay that in full for the year, or they could do $1,600 a month in a payment. What that allows for is for you to have the monthly recurring income. So,every month you’re gonna be getting this recurring payment from the people who chose to do the monthly payment plan. A lesson I learned along the hard way was when people choose to pay in full, avoid the temptation and just be like, “Woo, we’re rich! Now we can do whatever we want.” I did fall into that trap and I didn’t go crazy as far as buying cars or things like that. Like stories you hear about that. I’ve never been really into material things like that. No judgment if you are, but I am more into experiences. So I did a ton of traveling. I went to all my favorite places in California and Colorado. I really didn’t do much of a shopping free. I spent more of the money on experiences going out to nice restaurants, things like that. What I did not plan for was that not everyone’s gonna pay you in full and you need to be mindful of, your overhead expenses, like paying the venues and putting deposit down for future retreats, because I do this multiple times a year.

Of course, you need to be thinking about taxes. You need to be thinking about your team, paying a team, because if you grow quickly as I did—I went from 0 to 15 year long clients really quickly. I got to hire a team to help support me. So then I started to have money going out to them.

I needed more money for my marketing, my design work, because I was growing and I didn’t account for all of that. And when I saw the lump money come, I just thought I was rich. So I’m much more wise now. I’m actually doing the profit-first method that Mike Michalowicz teaches in his book, “Profit First.” But then you also need to be smart about managing your money and then also of course investing and growing your wealth.

Case In Point: Success Stories from my Program

Just to share some case studies of people that I’ve worked with, who’ve had great success from my program like Taylor Shawley. Before Taylor took our money-intensive and abundance breakthrough program, she wrote in her journal that she would like to have a $25,000. She ended the month at nearly $37,000, the highest month ever in her business. And she said that this time, it felt easy and she didn’t feel overwhelmed or overworked. Taylor graduated from our Free to Fly program. That’s our year-long program and is now studying to become a certified sex coach and is hosting her own self-love retreats and programs.

And then we have Kira Jones here with her adorable family. Kira brought in $45,000 in 40 days while taking our money intensive and abundance breakthrough programs. She’s now successfully hosting online software programs for her BIR portrait clients, which have allowed her more time to be home with her new baby girl.

And then we have Devanie McCartney. When she signed up for our money intensive and abundance breakthrough program, her goal was originally to make $6,000 in the next 30 days. Through our coaching program, She made over $13,000 that month. She shared, “Julie is inspirational, truly intuitive, and a lifesaver. She helped me healed me and gave me the tools I will forever use in my life and business.”

So just to share with you some of the numbers, because we all love to know how is this gonna work out like numerically? A possibility, and I do think this is a likely possibility, cuz I’ve been through this experience myself and I’ve led others through it as well, it’s very possible that you could be offering one retreat or one immersion experience per season. So that would give you four retreats in a year. I choose to do two in person and two virtuals. So I’ve got four yearly myself. It’s very likely that you can get at least five people enrolled into each immersion. That would give you 20 participants. The cost of the retreat will likely be around $2,500 to attend a three day retreat, which would bring you $80,000 up front.

A likely statistic is that about 30% will enroll in your year-long program at about $12,000. That’s average. I mean, I would say most programs are more than that. This is pretty conservative, but if it was about $12,000 for the year, then that would give you $72,000. In addition to the 8,000 and just to share with you my results from doing it.So that’s a possible scenario that I just share with you.

In the first seven months after I launched this retreat model, I enrolled 20 people in three retreats at $2,200 each, which brought in $44,000. And then, I enrolled nine people into my Free to Fly mastermind program at $1,100 a month for the year.

So that brought in a $118,800. the total revenue was 162,800 from hosting retreats and my Free to Fly program alone. And that didn’t include my one-on-one coaching clients, who I enrolled at five to $10,000. Didn’t include photo shoots. Didn’t include any other special programs that I’ve released.

I also do online programs. I mentioned my money-intensive program earlier. The money-intensive program is an online course that people can do from their home. You they can work through the modules themselves. That is a bonus when people sign up for my retreat. So most people get it rolled into the bonus of the retreat. But to purchase that alone is $499. So I sold some of those as well. But what I found is that my biggest success has come from hosting these retreats and then inviting into my year-long Free to Fly program. That is exactly what I am going to be helping my clients to do themselves in our own retreats.

Actually, the next one is coming up in October. So this is October six to eighth, 2022. And this one is gonna be virtual. I also have one coming up in Washington, DC. That’s where I live currently. January 5th to7th, 2023. And then we’re doing another virtual one in February and then April again, we’re gonna be back in Washington.

So during my three-day experience, the outcomes that I promise to my clients are that I will help them to hone in the vision for what they want to create, getting to a place of not ‘what does everybody like, what are they asking me for? How can I accommodate everybody else?’ but how do you want to be living? What kind of hours do you want to be working? What would feel best for you? So allowing ourselves to start there, creating the vision for what we want, how we wanna show up the amount of time we wanna spend doing it with a life of balance. So that’s what we work through first. And then, we get to the mindset piece. As we get excited and we’ve received the vision and that’s a really exciting time when we’re like, “Oh my gosh, this could be amazing for my business. This can be so much fun. Where will I host it? Maybe I’ll go to California.” We get into that excitement phase. And then we get the ego that says, “Well, how are you going to get people to sign up for this? Or you’ve never done anything like this before. You don’t like to leave you. Don’t like when people look at you. What will you talk about?”

That is what we work through as well. Those limiting beliefs, the mindset blocks that say, “You can’t do this. Who are you to think you can do this? Others are already doing it. Like it’s not gonna work. You’ve tried these programs before. They never.” So we work through those mindset blocks. A lot of them are subconscious, and that’s where my intuitive gifts come in, that I can help you to reveal those limiting stories. Sometimes they’re not even from this lifetime, I’m able to look back at past lives. Also at ancestry to look at patterns. I look at money patterns. I look at what you believe you’re worthy of and why I can see past experiences and help you. Once we bring light to them and reveal them, then we can accept them, heal them and release them.

So we do that together during the three-day retreat. And then we get into implementation. Let’s put this together, let’s build these packages. Let’s build this offer. How are we going to market it? How are we going to sell it? Who are we talking to? Very specifically, who’s our target market. That is what we’re gonna be doing during my three-day experience. Manifest at Rest

Were you taught that to get what you want you need to work hard to get it? That’s what I was taught and now I’m rethinking this whole working hard thing…To me working hard started to look like always having my phone next to me, checking my email incessantly and feeling like I couldn’t stop or rest for fear of missing an inquiry from a prospective client or something important from my kids’ school.

Then I realized that I was in a constant state of hurry and that the stress was doing the opposite of what I wanted and slowing down my progress rather than speeding it up. I took a week-long vacation in California completely solo and what I found was that I was able to finally rest and relax in the sun but that people all around me were on their phones, distracted and missing out on the joy of life too.

Now it’s my mission to show others that they can manifest at rest and that to relax is to receive. When we get quiet and turn off all of the distractions, that is when we receive the inspiration for what’s next and can rejuvenate ourselves much like a computer that’s being shut down and then rebooted.

Let It Be Easy

When you were growing up did you have people praise you for working hard? Were you surrounded by hard-working mothers/fathers who modeled for you what hard work looks like and then told you that it is hard work and hard work alone which leads to success? Or maybe you were told that you could go out and play only AFTER you finished your homework and all of your chores.

The problem with this is that when we don’t allow ourselves to play until AFTER all of our work is completed, we never get the time to play. As adults this translates into needing our homes to be cleaned first, needing to be up to date on emails/work for our clients before we will let ourselves enjoy any downtime and then we get resentful when we see that we are never left with any time for ourselves.

This has been my story too and something that has helped me is to repeat the affirmation, “I deserve downtime.” It is why I booked an extra three days in California for myself to rest in the sun after filming my speaking reel for my business and also why I decided to put up that away message in my email that lets my audience know that I’ll be unreachable during this time so that I can completely immerse myself in the energy of rest and relaxation.

I know that in rest is when we receive and also know that if I am going to teach that we can manifest at rest and with ease, then I need to do that for myself first.

Afraid to Launch Your New Offering?

Have you seen the Matthew McConaughey movie, “Failure to launch?” It’s the one where he seems to have it all together and women fall for him easily but then they realize that he still lives with his parents and has no intention to move out and be on his own? Well this movie title popped in my head as I’ve been talking to my clients who have had so much clarity as to what they want to create next in their business but just haven’t launched it yet.

Many of them have gone so far as to book a retreat venue, to hire a team to help them lead it but haven’t made actual invitations to live human beings who will be the ones to receive their teachings and wisdom.

Why haven’t they made the invitation yet? Because of fear. It’s the part where we put ourselves in a place to receive a, “No,” and to many of us that’s terrifying. It makes us feel like our offer isn’t good enough and ultimately even worse, that we’re not good enough. We’re afraid that we’ll prove our ego right that says, “This has been done before. Who are you to teach this? There are others doing this and doing it better than you ever good.” If they never launch it, they never have to face that fear and can stay comfortable doing what they’ve been doing which is reworking their website, creating the actual program, anything BUT the part that puts them in a place to be rejected (and ultimately succeed too).

There’s not a successful entrepreneur out there who hasn’t felt these same fears and received tons of, “No’s” before they got those, “Yeses.” The more you practice receiving the, “No’s” with as much love and grace as you do in receiving those, “Yeses” the easier it will become. And before you know it your retreat/program will be filled with aligned souls EAGER to learn what you have to share and their lives will be forever changed because of it.

These common fears that I’ve seen my own clients and colleagues around me facing is what inspired me to create the Abundance Academy. It’s geared around getting specific with what you are asking for/launching whether it be a certain number of enrollees in your next retreat/program or to finally start writing that book and then we will hold you accountable for taking action towards making that dream a reality.

Time Saving Hacks

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! A message that I got from Spirit at my Virtual Book Launch Party was that all of us are mothers, whether we have our own children/fur babies or not. We are mothers of creation and have dreams that we are nurturing.

If you’re like me sometimes you get impatient waiting for those dreams to manifest into your physical experience and may end up working tirelessly in hopes that they will come to fruition faster. Much like a farmer who has planted his/her seeds though, demanding that they sprout faster and watering them furiously will not cause them to grow any faster. In fact the opposite may happen and you could drown them with too much water and focus.

Noticing my desire to work tirelessly to build my new academy and Manifest with Ease Master Class, I was reminded of my own teachings and to take a break so as not to burn myself out. Timely as it was my first business coach, Leah Remillet and I got reconnected who focuses on teaching time saving systems so that entrepreneurial moms can buy back their time. An affirmation that she reminded me of repeating to myself was, “I deserve downtime.”

My Spiritual Awakening

Technically I believe that our spiritual journey begins the day we are born and that we choose our life circumstances along the way. I went through much of my life thinking my role was to please everyone else before myself but now believe the opposite to be true and am on a mission to step more fully into who I am and to be unapologetically myself.

My real awakening began back in 2015 when I was teaching elementary school children. I loved being around the kids and always felt more joyful and alive around their energy but I began to feel suppressed creatively with an administration that seemed to be scrutinizing my every move. I was told not to be different and just do what the other teachers were doing and nothing else. I was feeling frustrated and stuck and more than anything just wanted to be home with my own kids who were 2 and 4 at the time. That’s when the Universe shook things up for me…

I received a phone call on a cool morning in October from my son’s daycare teacher saying that things weren’t working out and that we’d have to find another childcare arrangement for him. She said that he was crying for me all day and had tantrum after tantrum and they just couldn’t take it anymore. I had just started a new school year and was a full-time 5^th grade teacher at the time. I had no idea what to do but knew in my heart that my son was calling for me. We had a traumatic delivery with him when he was born. He and I slipped out of consciousness on and off for hours and I told God that if he died then I wanted to go with him. We’ve had a super strong connection ever since that fateful day when God said we both were going to live. At only the age of 2, my son knew that I was unhappy at work and I knew that he was unhappy away from me. So my husband and I made the decision that I would give my notice at work and stay home with the kids.

I felt so free for the first time in as long as I could remember. I felt like I could finally start living my life the way I wanted to. After I gave my notice at work, I noticed that every time I looked at the clock it was 11:11 or 1:11. I was seeing 1s everywhere…. When I saw them I felt chills throughout my body and intense feelings of love and anticipation as to what was coming next for me. Without realizing it at the time, this was the start of my spiritual awakening.

I was home for about a month with my kids when I got a call from my friend saying that I should pursue my dream of starting my own photography business now that I had some more time to get it set up and that she knew just the program I should take to start making money right away. After completing the course and launching my business, I made $1800 from a mini session sale only 3 months after starting my business which was the proof I needed to know that I could make this work long-term.

Not only was photography proving to be lucrative for me, but the energy I felt when I was on a photo shoot lit me up in a way that I hadn’t felt before. I felt completely aligned and in my flow maybe for the first time in my life which explains the meaning of my camera tattoo with the 11:11 under it symbolizing perfect alignment.

Photography still lights me up to this day and the more I do it, the more I realize how beneficial tapping into my intuition during my shoots is to be inspired to the best posing and lighting too. I began visualizing the perfect shoot before I would go and would set the intention for my clients to feel a loving exchange of energy from me and to see themselves in love and light when they saw their final images. It was powerful stuff and so much fun to play with as I would write down a number that came into my head before heading into a session reveal and then to have a client give me that exact amount in a check from their order was so much fun…

Then, I started acupuncture. Acupuncture wasn’t something I ever thought I’d try but I had seen a noticeable difference in my husband after he did it so I knew there was something to it. I found a practitioner who made me feel comfortable to share openly about my life experiences and the areas that needed healing. During one of my treatments I even left my body…. I had asked God to take from me the traumas of my past and to remove them from me for good because I wasn’t sure how to remove them for myself. I felt a rush of cold air around my legs and saw my legs lifting off the table in my mind’s eye. What I felt next was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever felt in my life. It felt as though God himself was hugging me and I felt the biggest rush of love and adrenaline I’ve ever felt. I knew where I was and also knew that I was coming back to my body. I came back down and told my practitioner what had happened. He was so open in accepting this and made me feel special rather than strange for claiming to have had such an experience.

Next I began exploring tarot cards, oracle cards, crystals, and couldn’t get enough of acupuncture and crystal healing sessions too. I began feeling and experiencing Spirit in a whole new way and was getting woken up in the evenings by my Spirit Guides who were telling me that it was time for me to build a spiritual online business and to start guiding others who were awakening too. I signed up for a Mediumship course and in my very first practice session I was able to read our teacher and send her a message from her departed father that had her in tears. I was shocked at how easily this information came to me and decided to put myself out there and offer readings to others too. It was so humbling to be trusted not only by the clients that hired me but also by their Spirit Guides who trusted me to deliver their messages with love and with the intent for healing too.

Today I am on a mission to help others who are also awakening to know that it’s safe for them to be seen and to be heard to. I teach them the tools to further strengthen their own intuition which is the key to unlocking all of their hearts desires too. Why I HATE the Question, “What do you do?”

I used to think that we were defined by what we did. That my job had to reflect who I was and that making a difference in the world was crucial to being respected. And with good reason too because isn’t that often the first thing people ask when they meet us? “Hi, Julie. What do you do?”

It was the reason why my first job out of college was for the Discovery Channel. I took the job because I wanted it for myself, but I stayed in the job for far too long because I liked people’s reactions when I told them I worked there…how sad is that?! I felt like my soul was unhappy, I wasn’t getting out and interacting with people the way that I wanted to and I felt like my dream of making an impact on the world was too far out of reach so I quit.

I went back to school to get my Master’s Degree in teaching. I thought that for sure people would respect me and think that I was a good person because I was an elementary school teacher… I truly enjoyed working with the kids and teaching them how to be good people and to stay true to themselves no matter what, a lesson that I was still struggling to learn myself. I got to the point as a teacher though where my creativity was being stifled and I began feeling more and more powerless. I decided to go on child rearing leave to stay home with my kids and in that time I found myself.

A month later I started my photography business. I once again was feeling alive, creative, inspired and filled with passion. I faced great critique with this choice as well though. It seemed that EVERYONE was asking me when I was going to return to teaching, when I was going “back to work” and would even flat out ask me if I was able to make any money with photography. I couldn’t believe the nerve of people to ask me such personal questions and to dismiss my business as simply a temporary hobby and wonder when I was going to start working again…I so desperately wanted to tell them my average sales to shut them up because the truth was that I WAS able to make a great living as a photographer and still am. But I learned that my energy was better saved than to try to justify my choices to them.

I NEVER thought that I would be a business owner or to call myself a Medium, who communicates with Spirit, but here I am… My talents and gifts are ever-evolving and rather than staying in the same place and hiding who I really am to make others feel more comfortable, I am stepping out into the world as myself for the first time ever and it feels amazing…

However, my question still remains, “Why does our culture define who we are based on what we do?” If we are all divine beings of God, why does it matter what we choose as our profession? As long as we are passionate about it, are contributing to society with our God-given talents, why is it anyone else’s business in the first place??

After being asked AGAIN by a family friend when I’m going back to teaching and being triggered by this question yet again, I decided to get to the bottom of this trigger once and for all. The danger in defining who we are by our work is that one day we will retire and it will go away or like my dear friend we could get in a horrible accident and have it physically impossible to return to. Who we are is NOT defined by what we do. We are love. We are divine and we are enough just as we are. So before you ask a Stay at Home Mom or small business owner when they’re going back to work? Please bite your tongue. 😉

What is Intuition & How Do We Further Develop It?

A big part of my mission is to teach others how to further develop their own intuition which can help them in every part of their lives. Intuition is the part of us that is connected to our higher selves which is still connected to the divine. It is the source of every answer you have been seeking and is what they mean when they say, “Happiness is found from within.” Your intuition knows what you truly desire and the easiest path to get you there. So why don’t we always listen to it? Because sometimes it tells us to do things that scare us like putting ourselves out there in a more open and honest way to the world, letting love in and in doing so, increasing the chance that we might get hurt in the process. Our ego’s job is to keep us right where we are. It wants us to stay comfortable, doesn’t care so much about expansion and tries to convince us that we’re separate from the divine.

Our intuition, which is housed in our hearts is divine. It is the part of us that is God or whatever higher power you believe in. This is a hard thing for many of us to accept. Most of us are taught from an early age that we must revere and worship God, but that we are merely humans when in fact the opposite is true. God loves and worships us as His creation and what he wants above all else is for us to give and receive the highest form of love.

So how do you access this higher part of yourself? There are many ways to do this… Through meditation, prayer, sitting outside in nature, doing yoga, acupuncture, etc. The list goes on and on but all of these tools will only work temporarily unless you commit to doing the real work to more fully step into your highest self. I believe that the key to this opening is through doing the inner work to really get to know yourself and that includes your lightness and your darkness. We are all a duality of light and dark, yin and yang and we can’t avoid facing our shadows if we have any desire to ascend further than where we are right now.

This is what I do with my clients during our coaching calls. We seek guidance from their higher selves through a line of questioning, taking deep breaths to more fully tap in and being honest about what we hear in response. Putting words to what comes up is powerful and sharing this with another loving being in a safe space is what gets the healing really under way. Allowing yourself to be seen and heard for all of your glory and flaws too is so liberating and something that I’ve experienced myself through work with my own coach. When the tears come out we call them healing tears. Is this work easy? Not at all, but it’s what’s necessary to ascend to the next level spiritually and to allow in all the love, money and success we have been striving for all this time but which up until now felt completely out of reach.
